  My husband and I went here some time ago having had a set appointment scheduled for a vasectomy consulation for over a month in advance . My husband's age (24) was known before our appointment but when we arrived after having taken a day off of work to drive an hour to princeton, only to find out we were unable to get him a vasectomy due to his younger age.
  
  We would understand this if I did not have medical reasons to not want to have a child, or if we were simply dating . We know we want to adopt (I myself was a foster child); and were showed no respect for our decision. We were lectured on how "having a child is a beautiful thing" and how the doctor didnt want a child but when she had one it was heaven sent. That is all well and dandy, but that is no reason to belittle others who made a definitive decision to not have a child of their own.
  
  This visit was a waste of time, money, and mental energy. The only knowledge that we gained from this experiance is that maturity and compassion lacks not only in my generation, but in the generations of our elders as well.
